BESCHREIBUNG
Äusserst seltene Erstausgabe dieser in Neapel gedruckten Inkunabel mit den Predigten zum Lobpreis der Heiligen.
In Deutschland ist diese Ausgabe nur ein einziges Mal in einer Bibliothek nachgewiesen; weltweit insgesamt nur in 54 Bibliotheken.
Unberührter Zustand mit leeren Initialspatien.

Zusammen 224 (von 224 Blatt). Vollständige Inkunabel. Das siebte Blatt (a1) und letzte Blatt (z4) weiß.
Lagenformel: (6), a-sf8, s-z8, A-B8, C6, D4.
Gemäß der Angabe im Inkunabelkatalog der Wiegendrucke wird das Leerblatt Blatt 7 als „a1“ geführt. Die Lagenzählung im Buch beginnt fälschlicherweise erst nach diesem Leerblatt und wird folglich von a1-a7 gezählt. Das somit in der Lagenpaginierung fehlende Leerblatt entspricht aber dem in der Lage fehlenden Blatt.
EINBAND
Zeitgenössischer Ledereinband über massiven Holzdeckeln. Rücken erneuert – blindgeprägte Ornamentierung und goldgeprägter Titel. Einband in neuerer Leinwand-Kassette. Schließen fehlen, Schließbeschläge fragmentarisch vorhanden. Buchblock vorn mit alter Titelaufschrift in brauner Tinte. Sehr guter Zustand. Deckel berieben und fleckig, Kanten und Ecken bestossen. Rücken erneuert, neue Kapitalbänder.
Klein-Folio: 23 x 17 x 6 cm.
ZUSTAND
Sehr guter, äußerst frischer und unberührter Zustand. Kräftiger Druck, festes Büttenpapier. Sauberes Exemplar, nur partiell gering fleckig und fingerfleckig. Erstes Blatt auf der leeren Vorderseite mit altem Stempel und leicht tintenfleckig. Vereinzelt zeitgenössische Marginalien. Gutes und vollständiges Exemplar mit dem ursprünglichen Schnitt.

Sermones de laudibus sanctorum.
This Edition princeps was one of the mostly popular collection of sermons. Up until late 1490 alone some nine incunabula edition had been published.

Extremely rare first edition of this incunabulum printed in Naples with the sermons in praise of the saints.
In Germany, this edition is recorded only once in a library; worldwide only in 54 libraries in total.
Untouched condition with blank initial spatia.

The bibliography lists the blank leaf 7 as „a1“. Mistakenly the pagination in the book begins after the blank leaf with a1 and ends with a7.
BINDING
Contemporary leather over massive woodenboards. Spine renewed – blindtooled ornaments and goldstamped Title. Binding is laying in a recently calf case. Clasps are missing. Otherwise in very good condition. Covers scratched and stained, corners and edges bumped.
