Vox Supreme Solid State Amp 100 Watt Head Owned since the mid 90's Bought for my son to use in his bedroom Home use only while I have owned this amp Although the amp had been gigged by previous owner/s Obviously Wrapped and dry stored since son went to college and flew the nest Next to Top of this Range of 4 models of Solid State amp versions Full length Spring Reverb MRB / Distortion / Tremelo This amp is LOUD and full on Ballsy VOX heritage Sounds Supplied to and used by many top UK bands in the 70's Rolling Stones / Manfred Mann and the list goes on that were begging VOX for louder and even louder amps to compete with the volume of their SCREAMING teenage girl fans. In desperation so that the bands stood directly in front of their amps at the very least could hear themselves playing on stage above all the bedlam of the fans in the venues. Here's a bit of history for you At 13 years old I had eventually scratted together having saved up the money from my morning and evening paper rounds to pay for a seat in the middle of the 2nd row smack in front center of the stage, to see a multi top 20's bands line up show at the Odean Cinema in Leeds in 1965 with a couple of my mates. The Checkmates, Unit 4 Plus 2 The Hollies etc The Rolling Stones were the top of the bill. I couldn't hear the bands even from that close for the mental teenage girls screaming and throwing items at the stage, including my hat that an idiot female stood up on her seat behind me ripped off my head and threw it at the Rolling Stones while doing their set on stage. My ears were whistling for days after. Many years later in 2009 ish I was just by chance watching an old documentary about the Rolling Stones and Brian Jones was wearing my hat. Reason for the hat was on the Saturday morning just before I was about to set off to meet my mates to go to see the show, my MOTHER who had been on the rampage with my other 5 siblings suddenly spotted me all dressed up coming down the stairs on my way out and decided my hair was too long and in a sudden fit of rage set about Hacking my hair off. Now no spare money or time to be able to call at my barbers on route to salvage some sort of a presentable rescueable hair do, in desperation I grabbed a newly hand knitted winter paper round hat and left the building in fear of the scissors ending up in my neck My mates were quite bewildered as to why I would turn up in a Mohair suit wearing a knitted beanie hat pulled down over my ears on a hot summers day. So I managed to avert the p**s taking and all went to plan until the idiot female ripped it off my head. What the F*** 's happened to your hair ? Well then the next 2 hours of bus journies home the p**s taking really took off. Thanks for that Mum ( again as usual, mental female of the human species) When purchased For safety reasons and todays specs the amp was Upgraded with Heavy duty Mains cable direct soldered / hard wired by-passing the Bulgin socket by a proffesional electronics engineer Only Piggy back head and cab options had the Bulgin plug & socket mains cables. All AC30's and other Combo Amp in cab variants were direct mains wired to the amp from the factory Bulgin sockets had a bad reputation for catching fire Otherwise To My Understanding everything else is stock Only a hand full now exist WORLDWIDE Check out this amp online for yourselves so you will know this is FACT Photo of actual item when originally purchased prior to cleaning Photo does not do this amp justice Also included from a SESSION amp is a modified 3 foot switch pedal, wired to a matching 5 pin din plug on the amp to switch the Reverb / Trem and MRB effects on and off.
