Dudson Jasper Ware Bowl 'Greyhound'. Date: c.1950. This is a circular bowl with an everted rim made of pale blue jasper ware by Dudson c. 1950. In the centre of the bowl in glazed white is an image of a greyhound dog in full flight. Around the perimeter of the shallow bowl is an applied continuous leaf decoration in matte white. Well marked to the underside and in excellent condition. Dimensions : External diameter - 16.5 cm. (6.5 inch.). Internal diameter of rim - 13.4 cm. (5.3 inch.). Depth or height - approx. 4.2 cm. (1.7 inch.). Weight : 430 grams. Marks : To the underside printed in dark blue within a 'crinkly' circle is ' Jasper Ware Made in England Since 1800 '. Below the circle is Dudson. Hanley '.
