• Beschreibung: Titelseite von Guy Michel Le Jay's 'Biblia Hebraica, Samaritana, Chaldaica, Graeca, Syriaca, Latina, Arabica'. Eine bekrönte Batseba führt ihren Sohn Salamo zu einem Thron, auf dem eine Krone und ein Zepter liegen. Hinter ihnen Engel, zwei Putten über der Szenerie heben eine geöffnete Bibel mit Buch-Titel. Verso mit lateinische Text.Unten rechts in der Darstellung signiert: "Seb. Bourdon pinxit Gil. Rousselet sculp.". Das Blatt stammt aus einem in den 1920er Jahren veräußerten Konvolut des Großherzoglichen Museums zu Schwerin".

• Zustand: Akzeptabler Zustand. Das Papier ist altersbedingt verfärbt. Die Blattecken sind geringfügig bestoßen und geknickt. Das Papier ist stellenweise leicht knittrig. Die Darstellung macht einen sehr guten Eindruck. bräunlicher Fleck im unteren Bereich der Darstellung, das Blatt wurde waagerecht gefaltet, mittig mit kleiner Beschädigung im Blatt; verso mit Spuren einer früheren Montierung.

A crowned Bathsheba leads her son Salamo to a throne, on which lie a crown and a sceptre. Behind them angels, two putti above the scene lift an open Bible with the title of a book. Verso with Latin text, signed lower right in the depiction: "Seb. Bourdon pinxit Gil. Rousselet sculp.". The sheet comes from a collection of the Grand Ducal Museum in Schwerin, which was sold in the 1920s.

• Condition: Rather good condition. The paper is discoloured due to age. The corners of the sheet are slightly bumped and creased. The paper is slightly creased in places. The image makes a very good impression. Brownish stain in the lower area of the image, the sheet has been folded horizontally, with minor damage to the centre of the sheet; traces of an earlier mounting on the verso.
